1. Starting Position:
• Fighting Stance: Begin in your fighting stance, with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and hands up protecting your chin. Your lead foot (left foot for orthodox stance) should be slightly forward, with your rear foot positioned behind you at an angle. Your weight should be evenly distributed between both feet.
2. Moving to the Left:
• Step with the Left Foot: To move left, first step laterally with your left foot, maintaining your stance width. The step should be small and controlled, allowing you to maintain balance.
• Follow with the Right Foot: After the left foot moves, slide your right foot leftward to return to your original stance width. Your feet should remain the same distance apart throughout the movement.
